The Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research (FSR) is a mid-sized non-profit seeking a strategic leader to oversee and optimize the operational aspects of our programs, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and the highest standards of service delivery. Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Director of Operations will oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization including finances, human resources, contracting and contract management, administrative vendor management, policy development and maintenance, and improvement of organizational processes to improve quality, productivity and efficiency.
The Director will have senior management experience in a dynamic and fast-paced setting. The role requires outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills and an ability to develop innovative solutions that push boundaries. The Director of Operations will work closely with executives to strategize and develop long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success for the organization.

This is a full-time exempt position.The position is fully remote, but will require some travel for conferences, events, Board meetings, and staff retreats.FSR encourages diverse candidates to apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with FSRs senior leadership and management team in the development of long-term operational plans, policies, and standard operating procedures to increase efficiencies and ensure smooth completion of the organizations day-to-day activities.
- Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary
oDevise strategies for ensuring the growth of programs enterprise-wide, and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs
oDevelop, evaluate, and update policies and standard operating procedures
- Work with senior leadership and accounting consultant in managing financial record keeping, tracking, and processing
- Implement and maintain a rigorous quality assurance program to review and improve the accuracy and efficiency of transactions
- Ensure that all receipts, transactions, contracts, and paperwork adhere to regulatory and compliance standards
- Manage receipts and expense tracker in collaboration with the assistance of Operations and Development Administrative Coordinator
- Manage support of annual audit and annual budget build
- Internally audit staff project coding to ensure timely and appropriate profit loss tracking
- Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives
- Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
- Manage operations associated vendor relationships (i.e. IT, banking, paypal, salesforce, etc.)
Work with FSR CEO and CSO on organizations human resources needs.

oManage hiring process to hire competent personnel with a focus on diversity

- Coordinate bi-monthly payroll
- Work closely with the leadership team to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, productive environment with a positive work culture focused on professional growth
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree
- Ten or more years in a senior leadership role in non profitmanagement
- Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success
- Experience in developing budgets and business plans
- Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and employee management
- Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity
- Ability to streamline or implement structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands
- Strong working knowledge of non-profit regulations and legal guidelines
SALARY AND BENEFITS
The salary range for this position is $85,000-$90,000/year depending on experience.
