About the Role

Seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead global commercial operations, focusing on marketing services, process excellence, and service delivery optimization. The role drives operational governance, cost management, technology enablement, and vendor oversight for a large-scale, centralized model across multiple franchises and markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Align and optimize service delivery processes across global franchises and markets, ensuring high-quality, responsive output.

  • Map and industrialize workflow management systems in partnership with vendors.

  • Oversee budget adherence, proactively identify/mitigate cost drivers (rework, duplication, inefficiencies), and manage financial forecasting.

  • Evolve performance metrics and operational transparency with data-driven KPIs and SLAs.

  • Maintain consistent, high-quality service delivery and rapid issue escalation/resolution.

  • Govern vendor relationships, including capability alignment, performance, and contractual compliance.

  • Drive technology adoption (automation, AI, platform integration) to enable scalability and performance tracking.

  • Support onboarding and transition of new markets into the operational model.

  • Expand the service portfolio and optimize operational infrastructure for growth.

  • Embed customer feedback loops, foster continuous improvement, and implement innovations.

  • Lead process optimization, defect reduction, and service delivery initiatives for scalability and efficiency.

  • Partner and influence stakeholders across internal and external teams; facilitate alignment and proactive solutioning.

  • Ensure compliance with operational standards and strategic priorities.

Immediate Priorities (First 90 Days)
  • Assess and align vendor capabilities with work requirements.

  • Complete process mapping and workflow alignment.

  • Oversee budget planning and cost controls.

  • Monitor and advance KPIs/SLAs for service excellence and transparency.

  • Drive consistent service delivery and support global markets.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree.

  • 10+ years in global operations and centralized marketing services, with heavy focus on content creation and campaign execution.

  • Advanced analytical and strategic problem-solving skills; able to interpret complex data and drive actionable insights.

  • Deep understanding of operational governance, KPI/SLA frameworks, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Leadership experience in Global Business Services (GBS) or similar environments.

  • Extensive vendor management, budget management, and project management experience.

  • Proven record leading transformational change, service delivery optimization, and process industrialization.

  • Consulting background preferred.

  • Strong business acumen across technology, data-driven operations, and financial management.

  • Experience working with India-based outsourcing partners or offshore delivery centers is highly valued.

  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages a plus.

Ideal Candidate Background
  • Senior operations leader in global organizations with experience managing large vendor teams.

  • Financially savvy, impactful in high-pressure, complex environments.

  • Extensive pharma experience, particularly in marketing operations and commercialization.
