Thhis is a 350+ bed full-service Magnet Designated Hospital. It is located in the heart of the medical district. It serves as a tertiary referral center for Tarrant County and many counties within a 90 mile radius. We offer comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services. Our specialties include cardiac care, neurosciences and oncology. We have surgical services, orthopedics, kidney transplants and emergency care. We offer three ER locations, including two off campus ER located in Burleson and White Settlement. Designated comprehensive stroke center. We are a Joint Commission chest pain center. Patients are ensured access to medical experts and advanced healthcare innovations across the network.
Job Summary and Qualifications:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Progressive Care shares 24-hour accountability and additional responsibility for the effective and efficient operation of the assigned nursing department(s). Functions will be performed in accordance with the nurse practice act in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the hospital.
Major Responsibilities:

1. Performs hourly rounding and responds promptly to call lights and patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
2. Follows patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures.
3. Assures quality of care through compliance with departmental policies, hospital and external regulatory agency guidelines.
4. Functions effectively as an interdisciplinary team member.
5. Accepts accountability and responsibility for achievement of operational and capital budget goals.

Job Requirements:
1. 2 years of recent PCU Acute Care Leadership experience required.
2. Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing required.
3. Master's of Science in Nursing preferred.
4. Current RN licensure by the State of Texas or from a Compact State if you declare the Compact State your Primary State of Residence.
5. Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
6. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
