Director of Pharmacy

Position: Full-Time
Salary: $187,000 – $210,000 annually
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: San Leandro, CA

Job Summary:
Our community clinic is seeking a Director of Pharmacy to oversee operations for our in-house pharmacy. This leadership position combines clinical oversight, operational management, and team coordination—all within a supportive environment focused on accessible, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and evaluate all pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance and service quality
• Develop and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal laws
• Supervise, train, and evaluate pharmacy staff to promote continuous professional growth
• Manage departmental budgets, contracts, and grants to support cost-effective operations
• Oversee medication procurement, storage, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals and controlled substances
• Serve as a consultant to clinical providers on medication therapy, formulary updates, and safety protocols
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and organizational ethics policies
• Represent the department in leadership meetings and professional forums

Requirements

• PharmD or BPharm degree
• Active California Pharmacist License
• Proven management or supervisory experience in a pharmacy setting
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and clinical best practices
