Director Of Procurement Apply
We are seeking a Director of Procurement, based in our Mifflinburg, PA office, who will lead all aspects of the supply chain lifecycle for the family of companies. This role is an important member of the management team with responsibility for leading global sourcing teams to execute multi-tiered and multi-location supply chain strategies that align efforts for all divisions at the company, coordinating with overseas and domestic suppliers, and domestic vendors to meet strategic objectives and goals.
Primary Responsibilities & Core Skills
- Develop, maintain and communicate cross functionally the 1-to-3-year strategic sourcing plans and annual operating plans that are linked to annual budgets and monthly forecasts
- Maintain accurate records of project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain various vendor databases that are in line with the company supply chain strategy and guidelines.
- Manage and lead sourcing teams as they effectively identify, source and negotiate all components of the product.
- Establish, monitor and maintain a method of evaluating the capabilities, capacity, management staff and manufacturing performance of factories and resources
- Drive thought leadership for sourcing by leveraging best practices
- Actively manage internal and external vendor relationships and negotiations through performance management on quantitative and qualitative metrics (KPI's)
- Developing and implementing quick response and flexible capabilities to satisfy demands of the divisional needs
- Ensure vendor compliance to standards of human rights and ensuring the sourcing strategy is implemented in a proper and ethical manner.
- Conducting key research of competitors for countries of origin, pricing, timing, flow, and styles to continually improve efficiency of supply chain operations.
- Develop high performance work teams committed to a shared value system of integrity and collaboration in all locations.
- Maintain Master Calendar of all processes from concept to completion.
- Develop and lead a national team of high performing strategic sourcing professionals
- ERP workflow understanding a plus
- Bachelor's Degree (must)/Master's Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics and Procurement preferred
- 10+ years in supply chain and sourcing globally at least 5 years of experience at the team's management level
- Extensive knowledge industrial manufacturing with wood Construction Building Materials for both commercial and residential construction
- Extensive Knowledge of all foreign "low-cost country" and domestic trade policies (relative to imports into the United States) and trade legislation, tariffs and tariff impact and all other related import laws
- Access to an extensive network of contacts and relationships
- Strong analytical and financial skills
- Leadership & ability to build effective teams
- Ability to interact with all levels of the company
- Process Management, Negotiation Skills and Extensive knowledge of world manufacturing and construction communities and their operations
- Ability to drive projects to successful completion
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Knowledge of modular systems and architectural design a plus
