Description
The Director of Program Management at Laza Medical will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of our product development programs. This role demands a balance of leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of the medical device industry, particularly in imaging, robotics and software development.
Responsibilities, Skills & Hands-On Experience
  • Lead the development and execution of complex programs in medical imaging and robotics, ensuring alignment with the companys strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and product management team to establish project goals, priorities, resources, and timelines.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project management plans, collaborating with senior management to ensure successful commercialization of products.
  • Ensure effective communication of project objectives, assigning staff responsibilities, and managing project tasks and deadlines.
  • Provide strategic input and advice to the CEO and other key stakeholders.
  • Guarantee that the development team's deliverables meet the rigorous requirements of the medical device industry and our clientele.
  • Oversee the development and market introduction of an enterprise software.
  • Manage, train, and develop the program management team, ensuring that team members meet their role requirements effectively.
  • Recruit and retain a talented, adaptable team to meet diverse project and business needs.
  • Maintain fiscal responsibility by overseeing the departmental budget and ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives.
  • Provide proactive leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Education & Work Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in medical device program management, including software development.
  • At least 3 years in a direct supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proven experience in guiding products through regulatory and clinical stages.
  • Familiarity with Quality Systems and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA QSR, ISO 13485, MDD).
  • Proficiency in MS Project or equivalent project management tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire teams.
  • Experience in developing budgets, project plans, and other managerial tasks.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong presentation skills, capable of engaging and influencing various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. In addition to those factors, we also examine internal equity as well as consider current market rate, and title may be assessed one level lower or higher accordingly. After you join the company your performance, contributions, and results along with business and organizational needs will affect your base salary. The base salary range for this full-time position is between $180,000 to $220,000 + equity + benefits.
