We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Leader to oversee and drive the quality engineering strategy in a large-scale, 750,000-square-foot metal fabrication and machining facility with a team of 1,700 non-union employees. This role is critical in ensuring that all products manufactured at the facility consistently meet both customer and corporate standards for quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain robust processes and systems to ensure product quality meets all required specifications.
  • Lead the design and implementation of an effective Quality Management System (QMS) tailored to the facility’s unique production needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing product quality, process yields, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Identify, validate, and lead projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes and achieving higher standards of quality and productivity.

Requirements

Candidate Profile:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience managing a quality engineering department in a large-scale industrial facility (1,000+ employees).
  • Strong background in metal fabrication, machining, and assembly; candidates with experience in food and beverage, oil and gas, chemical, plastics, or electronic assembly will not be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and sustain quality systems in large industrial settings with complex operations.
  • Stable career history with proven results in quality management; candidates with frequent job changes will not be considered.
  • Preference for candidates with experience living or working in rural Southern communities.

This role requires a dedicated, strategic leader capable of elevating and sustaining quality standards in a large, dynamic manufacturing environment.
