Position Overview:

The Director of Social Media at Augmentjobs will be responsible for leading and executing the company's social media strategy to enhance brand visibility, engage with target audiences, and drive business growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in social media management, content creation, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with the company's business goals and objectives. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to adapt strategies accordingly.

  • Content Management: Oversee the creation and distribution of engaging content across various social media platforms. Ensure content is on-brand, relevant, and optimized for each platform.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of social media professionals. Provide guidance, set objectives, and manage performance to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

  • Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and analyze social media campaigns. Utilize data and insights to measure performance, optimize campaigns, and report on ROI.

  • Brand Management: Maintain and enhance the company's brand presence on social media. Ensure consistency in voice, messaging, and visuals across all channels.

  • Engagement & Community Building: Foster relationships with the online community. Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and manage online reputation.

  • Analytics & Reporting: Utilize analytics tools to track social media performance. Prepare and present regular reports on key metrics, insights, and recommendations to senior management.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, PR, and content teams to ensure cohesive messaging and campaign integration. Collaborate with external agencies or partners as needed.

  • Crisis Management: Address and manage any social media crises or negative feedback in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or additional certifications in social media management is a plus.

  • Experience: 6 to 10 years of progressive experience in social media management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of successful social media campaigns and strategies.

  • Skills:

    • Strong understanding of social media platforms, tools, and best practices.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.

    • Proven experience in managing and leading a team.

    • Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Sprout Social).

    • Creative thinking with strong problem-solving skills.
