Colorado Cleantech Industries Association (CCIA), founded in 2008 by business, university, national lab, investors, and cleantech leaders, is one of the States leading trade associations representing nearly 200 Colorado and national members and organizations. The Association has supported the dramatic economic growth of Colorados cleantech and energy industries for over 15 years by providing programming for members and non-members, supporting an active legislative agenda, collaborating across the States industry groups, and delivering a variety of networking and educational initiatives.


Building on years of economic impact successes, the strength of its brand, industry connections, and its financial position, CCIA seeks a Strategic Partnerships Director to lead the organization into the next phase of growth and impact on the Colorado and national climate tech, cleantech energy and sustainability industries.


The CCIA Strategic Partnerships Director reports to and supports the Executive Director on the development and execution of strategic initiatives to support the continued growth of CCIA and the CCIA Foundation and the vibrancy of Colorados clean technology ecosystem. The position will be responsible for identifying and building strategic relationships, defining objectives and timelines, establishing repeatable, data-driven practices and overseeing programs that drive meaningful revenue and retention. The role will also manage the organizations membership program and as such be responsible for membership growth, retention and programming and reporting metrics. Knowledge of, and passion for, clean energy and sustainability are key to this positions success.


Below is an outline of primary responsibilities:


Primary responsibilities:


* Develop partnerships and collaborations with key organizational constituencies including members, sponsors, board members, grantors, research institutions, business organizations, economic development organizations and others.

* In coordination with the Executive Director, lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive partnerships strategy to identify, secure, and grow corporate and foundation financial support.

* Raise funding from members, sponsors, and other partners to accomplish the Associations goals

* Refine and expand on the Associations messaging and materials to address the needs of, and benefits to, potential partners, sponsors, and members.

* Maintain a fundraising database to ensure integrity, accurate records, and ease of use.

* Manage the membership, sponsorship, and other partnerships budget, meet fundraising goals, ensure billing is accurate and timely, monitor benefits delivered, and provide timely reporting to the board.

* In coordination with the Executive Director, develop strategies to leverage individual strengths and connections of the Board of Directors to increase revenue.

* Attend and present at meetings and programs as needed to raise awareness of CCIA

* Manage or co-manage several CCIA programs, including membership events

* Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications


* 5+ years as a fundraising and/or business development professional with a proven track record of success

* Proven ability to effectively develop and maintain long-term, trusting relationships with C-level executives and mid- to lower-level company representatives within potential partner organizations

* Familiarity with the states clean technology ecosystem members including national labs, corporations, research institutions, and economic development

* This is a small team and the ability to multi-task is important

* Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain strong relationships and maintain confidentiality

* Exceptional oral and written communication skills

* Highly ethical with exceptional integrity

* Self starter - in our fast-paced organization, it is not always possible to wait for direction

* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Zoom, and Slack

* Experience with email marketing

* Experience with GrowthZone a plus but not required

* Detail-oriented with demonstrated thoroughness and accuracy

* Communicate constantly and effectively with Executive Director on all projects and duties

* Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and early mornings


Required Education: Bachelor's Degree


Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for commission. We offer health benefits including dental and vision as well as a 401k match. We also offer sick time and a generous PTO package.


Eligible candidates must be located in the Colorado Front Range or willing to relocate.
