Director of Warehousing and Final Mile Delivery

1915 South is one of the fastest growing retail furniture chains in the country. We are seeking a Director of Warehousing and Final Mile Delivery to supervise our 3 distribution centers servicing our 28 store locations across the south east. Essential Job Duties:

• Manage and supervise the company’s Distribution Centers and home delivery service
• Develop and direct metrics for warehouse productivity, customer delivery optimization, and cost controls for all Distribution Center activities to drive for constant improvement
• Monitor delivery routing to maximize efficiency
• Clearly define the management support staff roles
• Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control policies in all Distribution Centers
• Recruit, hire, train and develop a productive warehouse and management team
• Direct, train and monitor procedures to ensure the safety of all employees, equipment, and property
• Supervise the maintenance and service of the company’s truck fleet Travel to the DCs periodically to ensure consistency and low variance of processes, overall condition of facilities, and proper cost and safety measures are in place

Background and Experience Requirements:

• Experience in furniture distribution and delivery is preferred
• Experience managing multiple distribution centers is a plus
• Knowledgeable about optimal warehouse layout and efficient material handling
• Excellent computer skills
• Candidate must pass a background, credit check and drug test
