Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country.
The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$129,800.

What Is the Opportunity?

As a Director, Producer Management, you will be responsible for interacting with wholesale distribution partners and actively managing the relationships in support of Northfield E&S.
In this role, you will expand Northfield E&S visibility both internally at Travelers and within the Wholesale broker industry and promote a sales culture throughout the team.

What Will You Do?

  • Interact with wholesale distribution partners and actively manage the relationships in support of Northfield E&S.
    Drive engagement and accountability between Northfield E&S and our Wholesale trading partners.
  • Develop and manage Northfield E&S Producer management processes including the new appointment process, new producer onboarding, ongoing progress reporting, performance management, effective development and administration of compensation programs and producer terminations, in support of Northfield E&S underwriting strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Northfield underwriting team and broader Travelers marketing team on campaign development and management, educational, entertainment, advertising, collateral development, etc, acting in the role of strategist and project manager.
  • Manage key strategic distribution relationships with Wholesale brokers and other significant cross-enterprise distribution resources.
  • Expand Northfield E&S visibility both internally at Travelers and within the Wholesale broker industry.
    Support collaboration and promote a sales culture throughout Northfield.
    Promote and lead underwriter visibility amongst our wholesale distribution.
  • Use business development and management processes that deliver critical strategic initiatives, high quality plans and prospects to the business and are focused on profit and growth.
  • Align with product and underwriting, as well as other business units, to successfully execute underwriting, technology and experience efforts and ensure delivery of broader vision and strategies.
  • Evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data and actively partner with Northfield E&S and supporting Travelers functions to advance a wholesale broker-focused approach to producer management.
  • Maintain knowledge of internal products, competitor products and capabilities and general market trends.
  • Cultivate new partnerships and opportunities that align with growth strategies including book consolidations, programs and integrations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ten or more years of insurance, marketing or sales experience.
  • Strong knowledge and relationships in the Wholesale brokering industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent technical sales and marketing skills with the ability to coach others on these skills.
  • Superior knowledge of selling through intermediaries and distributors.
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of P&C industry.

What is a Must Have?

  • Five years of relevant insurance experience.
