Position Summary
The Dispatcher plays a key role in the daily operations by efficiently scheduling and coordinating field service calls, ensuring technicians are productive, customers are informed, and the workflow runs smoothly.
This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and serves as the communication hub between technicians, customers, and the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Dispatch Service Calls: Assign and schedule all service calls to maximize technician efficiency while maintaining a superior customer experience.
Manage Dispatch Board: Monitor call flow, compress scheduling windows, and maintain a steady workload to meet daily productivity goals.
Customer Communication: Notify customers proactively if technicians are delayed or schedules change; always deliver courteous, professional updates.
Coordination: Work with the Purchasing and Warehouse Coordinator to ensure parts and materials are delivered efficiently to technicians.
Scheduling Accuracy: Adhere to our Dispatching for Profits system to ensure the right technician is assigned to the right job.
Team Accountability: Help ensure all technicians arrive on time, debrief after each call, and collect payment immediately upon job completion.
Overflow Calls: Handle inbound calls when needed, booking appointments promptly and professionally.
System Management: Utilize ServiceTitan software to manage scheduling, notes, and job tracking.
Ethics & Team Culture: Uphold Code of Ethics, Team Rules, and Core Values in all interactions.
Qualifications
Required: Working knowledge of ServiceTitan software
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Organized and calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Positive, team-oriented attitude with a “do what’s right” mindset
Prior experience in dispatching, scheduling, or customer service (electrical, HVAC, or plumbing industry preferred)
Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
