At Action, our Dispatcher is the heartbeat of the service department. You are the connection point between our customers, our technicians, and our leadership team. Everything you do either helps or hurts a technician's ability to be successful in the field and a customer's experience with our company. We are a residential service company, so our relationship and reputation with our customers is the most critical aspect of our company success.
You'll manage the daily dispatch board, guide the flow of service calls, communicate with customers, and support technicians throughout the day. Your work directly affects revenue, customer satisfaction, and team morale.

What You'll Do:1. Keep the Day Running SmoothlyYou will manage the real-time flow of service calls so our technicians stay productive and our customers stay informed.
Manage the daily dispatch board and assign service calls based on urgency, location, and technician skill level,
Track technician status throughout the day and adjust the schedule in real time as jobs progress or change
Monitor job progress and prepare the next call before a technician completes their current job
Help prepare the next day's schedule and resolve conflicts before the end of each shift
You will ensure customers feel communicated with, respected, and taken care of throughout the day.
Contact customers before dispatching a technician
Provide proactive updates to customers when delays occur
Assist with scheduling follow-up work, callbacks, and return visits
Track special-order parts and coordinate return appointments when parts arrive
You will be the communication hub between the field and the office, helping everyone do their best work.
Coordinate closely with CSRs, the Service Manager, and field leadership to balance workloads and prioritize emergencies, callbacks, and maintenance members
Ensure technicians have accurate job details, directions, and customer information before arriving on site
Review invoices for completeness and accuracy before they move to accounting
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in dispatching, customer service, scheduling, or operations (home services preferred)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to stay calm and clear under pressure
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking
- Confident using software, mobile tools, and scheduling systems
- A team-first mindset with a desire to support technicians and customers
- Someone who believes details matter and communication builds trust
