The Dispensary Manager is responsible for daily operations of the dispensary and education center and manages all aspects at the guidance of the Director of Commercialization, including staff management, regulatory compliance, sales, and marketing support. The Dispensary Manager is also responsible for making sure the store is meeting sales and marketing goals while maintaining inventory within a secure, fully compliant facility. The Dispensary Manager promotes and works to expand the business at our Fondren Education Center. The Dispensary Manager is required to work a minimum of 40-45 hour per week, and they may have flexible schedules that include evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the store's operating hours. They may also be required to work longer hours during busy periods, such as holiday seasons and promotional events.

Requirements

  • Leads by example consistent with Bragg Canna’s mission, vision, and values while executing all tactical and strategic objectives
  • Creates schedules for all staff within the facility
  • Conducting/aiding interviewing, hiring, and training exemplary teams
  • Supervising/managing staff; working with HR to appropriately address any employee relations within the store
  • Ensures consistent understanding and compliance to company standard operating procedures
  • Create and provide pathways for staff to receive training and education/development regarding various products, devices, methods of consumption, etc.
  • Supervises all dispensary staff activities and works with HR & the DoC to make decisions regarding hiring, advancement, discipline, or termination of team members; conduct/oversee employee evaluations
  • Sets teams up for success in providing high-level client service and oversees/monitors staff & client interactions; provides coaching when needed
  • Secures active stock inventory in display/storage areas, and back-stock inventory within the vault
  • Conducts routine inspections & audits to ensure facility is always compliant with all state and local regulations as well as compliance with company standard operating procedures
  • Prevents diversion through enforcing company policies, procedures, and state regulations
  • Performs, oversees, and/or manages daily and scheduled auditing
  • Maintains traceability of all retail and cannabis products
  • Manages and adheres to a designated store budget
  • Oversees all daily financial reporting and monitors all cash-handling procedures
  • Aids in implementation of strategic plan to maintain and uplift dispensary operations with the direction of the Director of Commercialization
  • Proficient awareness of both internal and external competitive landscapes, opportunities for improvement, and industry development
  • Appropriately handles all customer complaints received in-store, including high-risk complaints
  • Appropriately handles all state and local inspections, communicating and adjusting as needed

Skills & Experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
  • General computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 5+ years Retail management experience
  • 5+ years Retail/ Customer Service experience
  • Must be able to pass a federal background check
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have valid MS cannabis work permit

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years of education or experience in the fields of biology, biochemistry, chemistry, physiology, pharmacology, medicine, medical cannabis, nursing, pharmaceuticals, or a similar field.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

  • This is an active position requiring regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing all day.
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 25lbs
