Position: Distribution Center Floor Supervisor Key Apparel is a clothing company located in Fort Scott, Kansas, focused on creating high quality work, industrial and outdoor related apparel. KEY is searching for a Warehouse Floor Supervisor to supervise daily activities of warehouse employees and oversee product flow in the warehouse. Successful Candidate Attributes: The successful candidate should be professional and articulate, have positive energy, be able to analyze workflow, identify opportunities, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail. The ability to identify problems and find solutions is a must as well as the ability to hold employees accountable for performance and counsel/discipline when necessary. The successful candidate must maintain open lines of communication with the Distribution Center Manager and all other areas of the company to create a cohesive work environment and efficient product flow. Key Responsibilities Include: Oversee daily floor activity and personnel assignments Work closely with Distribution Center Manager and other office staff to ensure orders are released timely and monitor processes for efficient delivery to customers Ensure warehouse departments are staffed according to order volume and need Develop and cross‑train staff in multiple departments using a cross‑training matrix Review shipping material needs to ensure a constant flow of product Identify inter‑department needs and assess tools or equipment to improve efficiency Maintain a clean and safe work environment for all employees Identify errors or issues prior to the end of the shipping day and implement corrective actions Review employee statistics and make adjustments to keep a steady workflow at all times Coach, educate, counsel, and discipline staff as necessary This job profile is not meant to be all inclusive of the responsibilities of this position, and this position may require the performance of other duties as necessary.
