Overview District Engineer The Pike County Conservation District announces an opening for a District Engineer to provide professional engineering services in support of soil and water resource conservation and the implementation of environmental regulatory and natural resource management programs. This position is responsible for conducting detailed engineering reviews of Post-Construction Stormwater Management and Erosion & Sediment Control (E&S) Plans, ensuring compliance with Chapter 102, Act 167, and PADEP guidelines. Duties include hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, evaluation of soils and BMP design, performance of site visits, assessment of hydraulic structures, preparation of technical reports and correspondence, interpretation and enforcement of applicable laws and regulations, and the preparation of review letters and technical guidance for applicants, consultants, and District staff. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources engineering, or a closely related field and three to five years of related engineering experience is preferred. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered to meet the qualifications for this position. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Pennsylvania is required. Knowledge of conservation practices, stormwater design standards, regulatory requirements, and GIS is also beneficial. This position requires flexibility to work occasional evening and weekend hours to effectively engage with the community and support program activities. Application Salary plus County benefits package; salary commensurate with experience.
