Job Description and Duties
Per CCR 249.3, this job control may be used to fill subsequent vacancies.
This position requires the selected candidate have permanent home residence located at least 50 miles from the assigned geographical location.
Under direction of the Codes and Standards Administrator I, the District Representative (DR) II works as an investigator/inspector and trainer associated with the Manager Training Program, Field Operations trainer, and responds to the most sensitive and complex field inspections and investigation assignments. The DR II provides training to mobilehome and special occupancy park managers and codes team members. The incumbent is expected to schedule and conduct regular training sessions for new and existing park managers and codes team members, as well as inspections relating to the enforcement of state and federal laws and regulations for assignments within a geographical area such as building construction industry, construction, sale installation, occupancy of manufactured homes, commercial modular, recreational vehicles, and employee housing facilities for habitability, maintenance, use, and occupancy.

Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of the laws and regulations surrounding the MPA/SOPA/MRL/Vehicle Code/EHA/ and regulations adopted there
- Knowledge of the Mobilehome Parks Act, Title 25 Regulations, California Building Standards Codes
- Public Speaking, written and oral communication skills
- Experience reviewing and approving procedures, complaint activity reports and Employee Housing reports
- Inspection Background
- Experience with personal computers and software
- Experience acting as a lead trainer and lead inspector
- Knowledge of HCD Employee Housing and Complaint process

Background Investigation
