Qualis Corporation is seeking a Document & Configuration Manager professional to develop and control configuration processes for the Guided Weapons Evaluation Facility (GWEF). The GWEF is a fundamental part of the 782d Test Squadron mission to provide simulation and signature resources and expertise to support test and evaluation (T&E) of guided munitions systems.  This position is located at Eglin AFB, FL.

 

Essential Functions:

•         Maintain a documentation and data management process to store, control, and track documents.

•         Lead implementation of document and data management process in coordination with management team.

•         Establish and maintain configuration processes for equipment hardware and software version management, system build, backup and recovery, archiving, and change management.

•         Perform software configuration management to include auditing licenses, managing expirations/renewals, assigning/managing licenses.

•         Communicates configuration management (CM) processes, variations, and deviations to the program, and coordinates, submits, and maintains technical data and relevant processes.

•         Responsible for the execution of the process controls, ensuring that staff comply with process and data standards.

•         Experience with managing change control activities and CM databases, support configuration control board and CM functions, and coordinate engineering change proposal (ECP) or change comments with other organizations.

•         Ability to identify and develop configuration item baselines, maintain a CM library, prepare, review, and comment on ECPs.

•         Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and provide specific direction to data and equipment owners to ensure compliance.

•         Provide document traceability, accountability, and support auditing and reporting.

Requirements

•         Bachelor's degree required with 0-3 years of experience. Substitution of experience for education will be considered with government approval.

•         Knowledge of developing, managing, and maintaining CM plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and policies.

•         Must have strong organization skills.

•         Must be proficient in Software/Hardware/Network CM tools development and CM management techniques.

•         Experience in software revision control systems such as Subversion.

•         SharePoint (or similar product) site administration experience desired.

•         Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project) required.

•         Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio preferred

•         Ability to understand the specific procedures and processes of the Air Force Test Center and Department of Defense (DoD) regulations and guidelines.

•         Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer interaction and presentation capabilities required.

•         Must be able to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.

•         Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.

•         Must be willing to travel up to 5%

 

Citizenship and Security Clearance:

 

•         US Citizenship required.

•         Must hold an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with investigation completed within past five years.

•         Exceptionally qualified candidates will be considered with a current Secret Clearance for upgrade to Top Secret.
