About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Contract Database Specialist. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain essential contract documents and data in the contract database in compliance with Corporate Purchasing, Finance, and OEC Compliance policies. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, particularly in Excel, to work with complex databases and will be able to work independently under minimal direction from management.
- Responsibilities:
- Maintain essential contract documents/data in the contract database to ensure compliance with Corporate Purchasing, Finance, and OEC Compliance policies
- Use critical thinking skills to evaluate, manage, and prioritize contract processing tasks from pre-negotiated contracts through completion
- Work with Clinical teams, Clinical Analysts, and other functional areas to maintain the flow of Purchase Order Payment Requests using designated databases and systems
- Interpret clinical contracts and payment terms
- Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures
- Perform ongoing contract entry for all executed contracts
- Coordinate payment timelines between Payment Specialists and other functional areas
- Produce accurate and high-quality payments and reports in a timely manner
- Investigate and resolve issues independently or with minimal oversight
- Provide guidance and information to internal teams regarding the contracting process
Education Qualification:
- High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- Associate's Degree with 2 years relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Required Skills:
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel, to work with complex databases
- Strong math and communication skills
- Experience with database entry
- Prefer experience in clinical research, Finance, Outsourcing, Accounts Payable, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of standard business procedures including contracting, finance, and budgeting
