DOT Safety & Compliance Analyst

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented DOT Safety & Compliance Analyst to support day-to-day safety and compliance activities within our Safety Department. This role works closely with the Safety team to help maintain regulatory compliance, support drivers, and reinforce our company’s safety culture.

This position is hands-on and collaborative, focused on supporting existing processes and helping the team stay organized, compliant, and responsive.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily Safety Department operations and administrative functions
• Assist with monitoring DOT/FMCSA compliance, including:
• Hours of Service (HOS)
• ELD data
• Driver qualification files
• Vehicle/truck files
• Drug & alcohol program documentation
• Help prepare safety reports and track trends for leadership review
• Communicate with drivers regarding compliance items, documentation, and safety expectations
• Work closely with operations and dispatch to resolve safety-related issues
• Provide general support to the Safety Director and Safety team as needed

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, trucking, safety, or compliance preferred but not required
• Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA regulations is helpful but training will be provided
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
