.NET Developer

Contract

The Senior .NET Developer is expected to take a lead role within the team; develop/enhance/maintain VB.NET and SQL code, ensuring that programming best practices are being followed, prioritizing work effectively, addressing production issues in a timely manner, and writing system documentation when required. The successful candidate should have strong communication skills to be effective in both technical and business requirement discussions.

Senior-level developer with strong experience in VB.NET and .NET technologies, capable of leading development efforts while mentoring junior team members

Experience with ASP.NET and MVC is a strong plus, but the core focus is VB.NET, SQL, and general .NET development

VB.NET and T-SQL are heavily emphasized, with a minimum of 5 years of experience required.

C# is also required, though with slightly less experience (3 years).

Strong experience in both backend and frontend development using .NET technologies (ASP.NET, MVC, CORE) along with JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS.

Understanding of software design patterns, tiered architecture, and reusability

.NET Development (VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC): Strong focus on VB.NET and C#, though experience with ASP.NET and MVC is highly desired but not mandatory.

T-SQL/SQL Server: Proficiency in T-SQL is a key requirement for database-related tasks.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Ability to develop applications and backend services using VB.NET, T-SQL, C#, ASP.NET MVC, CORE, Web API, Java Script, JQuery, and CSS
• Must be very strong in working with complex T-SQL
• Design and develop using appropriate software design patterns to attain high reusability and maintainability.
• Write effective unit tests and integration tests to ensure high quality software delivery
• In-depth knowledge of system design patterns, tiered architecture, and testing practices.
• Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function.
• Ability to plan and manage projects. Ability to solve complex problems by applying best practices.
• Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.
• Work with project business and system analysts to clarify the requirements and then implement them
• Participate in code reviews
• Enforce standards and best practices
