Design & Engineering Specialist – Support Premier Commercial Facade and Glazing Builds

You will serve as a vital link between design and reality, transforming complex architectural visions into precise technical shop drawings for large-scale glazing projects. You will have the autonomy to manage submittal packages while receiving dedicated mentorship to evolve into a key leader within our engineering and project management teams.

• Produce highly detailed AutoCAD shop drawings for complex curtain wall, storefront, and architectural metal systems.
\n
• Manage the full lifecycle of submittal packages from initial creation through final architectural approval.
\n
• Coordinate technical requirements with architects, structural engineers, and general contractors to ensure design fidelity.
\n
• Develop comprehensive Bills of Material (BOM) to streamline accurate fabrication and material purchasing.
\n
• Translate architectural and structural plans into actionable field and shop documentation to prevent project delays.
\n
• Track real-time RFIs, drawing revisions, and material updates to maintain strict project transparency.
\n

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction drafting or project engineering.
\n
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD with a proven ability to interpret complex architectural and structural drawings.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of how glazing or facade systems are coordinated, fabricated, and installed.
\n
• Strong organizational skills necessary for managing multi-phase project documentation and strict deadlines.
\n

• Associate’s Degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
\n
• Direct experience with Division 8 glazing systems, including curtain wall and storefront assemblies.
\n
• Proven background working within a fabrication-based contractor environment.
\n
