Overview

Great Basin Staffing is seeking a skilled Drywall Estimator & Crew Lead for upcoming commercial and tenant improvement projects in the Portland–Vancouver area.
This is a hybrid role combining hands-on field leadership with estimating responsibilities — ideal for someone who can both lead crews and take ownership of bid preparation and project execution.

Compensation Structure

This position offers a hybrid pay model:

• Labor Pay for on-site work.

• Percentage of Bid Value earned on completed or awarded projects.

This setup rewards both craftsmanship and project success, giving you direct earning potential tied to performance and project profitability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate takeoffs and cost estimates for drywall, framing, taping, and finishing.

• Lead and coordinate drywall and finish crews on active projects.

• Oversee scheduling, material coordination, and field quality control.

• Communicate effectively with clients, general contractors, and project managers.

• Ensure safety, productivity, and jobsite cleanliness.

• Conduct walkthroughs and verify project readiness for each phase.

Requirements

• 5+ years of drywall or interior construction experience (framing, hanging, finishing).

• Previous experience in estimating, takeoffs, or bid preparation preferred.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to read drawings and project specifications.

• Reliable transportation and basic hand tools/PPE.

• Must pass standard onboarding and drug screening.
