About the Role

WellTech Partners is seeking a dedicated Director of Staff Development (DSD) / HR professional to support employee training, compliance, and human resources operations for one of our clients. This role is ideal for a licensed nurse with DSD certification who enjoys developing staff, supporting regulatory compliance, and contributing to a positive workplace culture.

You will play a key role in staff onboarding, CNA training, license tracking, HR compliance, and employee development, while partnering closely with leadership to support facility operations.


Key Responsibilities

Staff Development & Training

  • Coordinate and conduct CNA in-service training to meet certification and regulatory requirements
  • Support and participate in New Employee Orientation programs
  • Track and maintain all staff licenses, certifications, and CPR records
  • Assist with employee physicals, PPDs, and health screenings as required

Human Resources & Compliance

  • Assist with recruitment and hiring of facility staff, including interviews and reference checks
  • Maintain accurate personnel files and employment records
  • Support compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations related to HR and Risk Management
  • Participate in developing, implementing, and interpreting facility policies and procedures
  • Maintain HR and risk management records using computerized systems

Employee Support & Administration

  • Serve as a resource to staff and follow up on training or development needs
  • Assist Facility Administrator with HR-related initiatives and reporting
  • Participate in payroll distribution and administrative support as assigned
  • Monitor benefits vendors and assist with benefits administration and negotiations
  • Support department budgeting and cost control initiatives


Qualifications

  • Active RN or LVN/LPN license in the state of California
  • Director of Staff Development (DSD) Certificate required
  • Current CPR certification
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources, including labor relations, benefits, and risk management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to apply nursing principles consistent with professional standards

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and standing
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Occasional pushing/pulling of equipment or materials
  • Repetitive hand movements and fine motor skills required
