Maintenance Mechanic 2 Carpenter
We're looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to perform journey and sub-journey-level work in Medical Lake, WA. You'll provide vital building repairs and maintenance work in a variety of trade fields such as carpentry and mechanical work. As well as repair, and construction of structures, walls, floors, windows, screens, sashes, doors, furniture, stairs, cabinets, roofs, and concrete work. Join our team and Transform Lives!
Some of what you'll do:
- Respond to emergency and routine repairs and maintenance including repairs and replacement.
- Perform preventive maintenance on Fire Doors, Ceiling Tiles, and shop equipment.
- Preform repairs to locks on doors.
- Estimate materials and time needed to complete jobs.
- Order materials and maintain adequate inventory of required materials to carry in shop.
- Design and install client workstation mechanical devices and special apparatus.
- Conduct building and equipment condition and assessment reports, recommends work as needed, and completes Work Requests to show time and materials used to complete work performed.
Who should apply?
People who graduated from high school or have a GED and four years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work, or completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade.
Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a state vehicle.

- Knowledge of mechanical practices, methods, materials, tools, equipment, and safety precautions
- Ability to estimate materials and time needed to complete assigned job
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Journey-level skills in one or more trade fields
