We are a leading organization in the nicotine industry, seeking a highly experienced and accomplished professional to fill the position of Government Affairs Director for Europe. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in government relations within the nicotine industry.
Responsibilities
- Research and monitor government activities within the industry that could affect the organization's business and clients.
- Work with senior management and leadership for strategic planning to address potential regulatory activities and risks related to the business and industry.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with members of local and national government entities and agencies.
- Engage with trade associations and industry committees.
- Collaborate with industry advocates to establish areas of common interest.
- Represent the organization by testifying before government committees.
- Keep abreast of legislative and public policy changes that affect company operations.
- Engage in activities that contribute to the business's success.
Requirements:
- Willing to work in Germany
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a Government Relations-related position.
- Must have GA/GR experience in Germany.
- Have a background in the regulatory affairs of the Tobacco or Nicotine industry.
- EU level lobbying experience.
- Germany speaking ability is a must.
