Our direct client is hiring a full-time Ecommerce Technical Director in Rosemont, IL/remote or Hybrid work arrangement may be possible

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Ecommerce Technical Director to oversee the technical aspects of our ecommerce platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, strong knowledge of SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), Spartacus, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments to ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our ecommerce systems. The candidate should have experience working in an Architect or project lead role. This role would lead an in house team while working with an external Commerce Cloud VAR. Knowledge of PHP platforms (Magento) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee Technical Infrastructure: Ensure the ecommerce platform is robust, scalable, and secure.

Manage Development Teams: Lead team responsible for the development and maintenance of the website and related systems.

Performance Optimization: Ensure the platform can handle high traffic volumes and provides a seamless shopping experience.

Experience with the following technologies:

o Ecommerce Platforms: SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), Spartacus, Magento/Magento 2.4,

o Cloud Services: AWS, Godaddy.

o Content Delivery Networks: Cloudflare, KeyCDN.

o Analytics and Tag Management: Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity

o Customer Service and Reviews: Zendesk, TurnTo

o Payment Systems: Snappay, Braintree, Authorize.net, PayPal

o Tax Management: Avalara, Taxjar

o Email Marketing: Listrak, SendGrid, Mailchimp, Klaviyo

o Other Technologies: Solr, Java/ABAP, PHP, MySQL, AWS RDS Instances, Maria DB

Security Management: Protect customer data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Technical Strategy: Develop and implement technical strategies to support business goals.

Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to align technical capabilities with business needs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's Preferred

Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), BTP, CPI and the interconnectivity between Commerce Cloud and S4/Hana required

o Strong Working knowledge of S4/Hana a plus

Proven experience in a technical leadership role within an ecommerce environment.

Experience with estimating effort, timeline, and budget for new and existing implementations

Estimate effort, timeline, and budget for new and existing implementations

Experience with design and build cutting-edge websites and web-based applications

Strong knowledge of ecommerce platforms, web technologies, and security protocols.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in a related field.

Experience with cloud-based ecommerce solutions.

Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing principles.
