The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS) is seeking candidates for the position of Economic Support Consultant 2 (Revenue Maximization (Rev Max) Specialist). EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Pay Grade: HUnder general supervision, interviews and investigates applicants and recipients to determine eligibility for use of social programs and agency resources. Records and evaluates personal and financial data obtained from individuals. Initiates procedures to grant, modify, deny, or terminate eligibility for various aid programs.Primary DutiesCompletes initial and ongoing funding determinations for all children in the care, custody and oversight of DFCS. Completes annual Medicaid redeterminations. Reviews and analyzes all eligibility forms, applications, documents, data base documentation or other information to ensure accurate information is being received and/or given to make funding determinations. Completes timely and accurate data entry into SHINES & Gateway data systems. Works in accordance with all established Rev Max policy and protocols, Federal laws and Code of Federal Regulations. Maintains Foster Care and Adoption Assistance Case Records in accordance with federal and Rev Max Record Management protocols, procedures and requirements.Completes and submits all required work productivity tracking forms/reports in accordance to and within established Rev Max protocols/procedures. Participates within a regional Rev Max team; collaborates and provides technical assistance to social services staff and county OFI staff as requested or needed to ensure accuracy and timeliness of Title IV-E funding determinations/re-determinations. Participates in all meetings, trainings and/or work groups as requested by supervisor and makes recommendations for unit/program improvements and or problem resolutions. Acquires and maintains a working knowledge of all Title IV-E and Medicaid Federal and State laws, policies, standards, procedures, protocols. Provide training for internal and external partners on Title IV-E eligibility upon request and approval by the supervisor. Maintains close and routine interactions with various agency and/or community partners; as such, excellent communication skills (demeanor, verbal, written) and a professional image are requisites. Performs other duties as assigned. Roles and ResponsibilitiesDetermines Title IV-E funding eligibility for foster care and adoption assistance children.Determines continued Medicaid eligibility for foster care and adoption assistance children.Maintains ongoing case records.Maintains Gateway and SHINES data systems with current data.Requests, collects and tracks required documentation for program eligibility from various sources .Coordinates with county child welfare staff on funding and medical coverage for all foster and adopted.Core CompetencesExcellent communication skills (demeanor, verbal, written) and a professional image.
