Position: Clinical Nurse, Med/Surg/Tele
Location: Cleveland, OH 44109

Duration: 8 Weeks

Pay rate:
$ 2000 - $2100 weekly gross

Shift: Nights 7:00 pm -7:30am and every other weekend and holiday.
No on-call.

Job Summary
Under general supervision, Registered Nurse II provides nursing care to patients, including medications and treatment.
Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care and performs related duties as required.
The Registered Nurse II level is the journey level class where incumbents have had the required professional nursing experience and are capable of independently performing the full range of clinical nursing services involving patient care.
Registered Nurse II's may supervise the work of professional and paraprofessional staff of the unit to which assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients according to the assignment and to individual needs of the patient; assesses health-related needs based on biological data, patient history, and other existing data, such as medical chart reports or computerized medical record.

    Age groups served: Med/Surg/Tele/Oncology - Adults, geriatrics boarding the Emergency Department

  • Boarding 2030 patients in ED daily.

  • Required Licenses/Certifications:
    • Active Ohio RN license
    • BLS from the American Heart Association for the healthcare provider.
    Mandatory Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
    Desired Qualifications:
    • Two plus years of experience
    • EPIC experience
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Act in an appropriate and professional manner as defined by the company's Standards of Behavior, Policy and Procedures, and Scope of Services.
      Anatomy, physiology, chemistry, pharmacology, infection control, growth and development, basic medical, surgical nursing, and nutrition.
      Continue one's self-development with guidance.
    • Demonstrate effective utilization of feedback and noted areas for additional education and focus.
      Identify etiology of a problem and make essential decisions utilizing the problem-solving process.
      Informally teach patients, families and staff.
    • Knowledge of wellness to illness continuum.
      Major disease conditions, including current knowledge of tests, therapies, treatment, and interview & Job Description assessment techniques.
      Make maximum use of available materials and human resources.
      Nursing procedures, techniques, equipment, and supplies; health systems, agencies, and patterns of referral.
    • Practice safe, thorough nursing care with effective, economic use of supplies and with reasonable speed in diverse environments.
      Principles and processes of problem solving, organization and effective cost control.
    • Professional nursing practice, attitude and mission.
      Respond effectively to emergency situations.
    • Role model AHS Standards of Behavior.
      Utilize concepts of assessment, priority setting, organization and evaluation.
    • Work congenially and professionally with personnel and medical staff.
      Write concisely, legibly and with correct spelling; communicate effectively.
