On-Demand Group is currently seeking for an EDI Business Systems Analyst for a 6-month contract engagement.Title: Functional EDI Business Systems Analyst – Order to Cash (OTC)Duration: 6 months contract Location: Hybrid/Remote at Arden Hills, MNJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Functional EDI Business Systems Analyst with a strong Order-to-Cash (OTC) focus to support and enhance EDI integrations between SAP and external customers, distributors, and trading partners. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, SAP OTC functional teams, and EDI middleware teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and business-aligned EDI solutions.The ideal candidate has deep functional understanding of SAP OTC processes and hands-on experience supporting EDI transactions through IBM Sterling Integrator, acting as the functional owner from requirements through post-go-live support.Key ResponsibilitiesOTC & EDI Functional Leadership· Serve as the functional owner for OTC-related EDI integrations, supporting customer order processing, fulfillment, invoicing, and confirmations.· Ensure EDI solutions align with end-to-end SAP OTC business processes, including sales orders, deliveries, shipments, and billing.· Act as the primary functional point of contact for business users, SAP OTC teams, and EDI technical resources.SAP OTC Integration· Support inbound and outbound EDI transactions related to OTC, including but not limited to 850, 855, 856, 810, and 997.· Partner with SAP OTC teams on IDoc design, output determination, and message processing to support EDI requirements.· Collaborate with EDI technical teams using IBM Sterling Integrator to ensure accurate data mapping, transformation, and partner connectivity.Business Analysis & Functional Design· Elicit, document, and validate OTC business requirements for new EDI capabilities, customer onboarding, and enhancements.· Develop functional specifications, EDI mapping requirements, and process flows tied to SAP OTC scenarios.· Translate business needs into clear functional guidance for technical EDI development and configuration.Customer & Trading Partner Enablement· Support onboarding of new customers and trading partners for OTC EDI transactions.· Coordinate testing efforts across SAP, Sterling Integrator, and external partners (unit, integration, and end-to-end testing).· Validate that EDI transactions meet business expectations for order accuracy, timeliness, and financial integrity.Production Support & Optimization· Provide functional support for OTC EDI issues, including root cause analysis and coordination of resolution efforts.· Partner with business and IT teams to reduce manual workarounds and improve straight-through processing.· Identify opportunities to standardize OTC EDI patterns and improve overall integration reliability.Required Qualifications· 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, EDI Analyst, or similar functional role· Strong functional experience supporting SAP Order-to-Cash processes· Hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Integrator (Sterling B2B Integrator)· Solid understanding of OTC-related EDI transactions (850, 855, 856, 810, 997)· Experience working with SAP IDocs, output determination, and OTC integration points· Proven ability to translate business requirements into functional and integration documentation· Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teamsPreferred Qualifications· Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA OTC environments· Experience onboarding large customers or distributors to EDI· Familiarity with customer master data, pricing, delivery, and billing integration touchpoints· Knowledge of EDI standards such as ANSI X12· Experience in manufacturing, CPG, logistics, or distribution-based OTC environmentsThe projected hourly range for this position is $55 to $65.
