IT EDI Developer | San Leandro, CA, United States
Key Responsibilities:
The IT EDI Developer will work on projects and procedures related to the use of electronic data interchange (EDI) for the transmission (transfer) of electronic files that contain business data and other sensitive data within CHCN’s internal department and between CHCN and external parties.
- Responsible for systems and integration functions.
- Automate file transfers between server and client systems using FTP to streamline data exchange across networked environments.
- Monitor transactions involving those through the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, known as HIPAA. Program and monitor HIPAA EDI transactions using technologies such as Microsoft (MS) Transact Structures Query Language (T-SQL) and 3rd party applications.
- Develop and maintain web-based applications using various programming languages, tailored to EDI transfer and related databases.
- Design and automate MS SQL jobs to facilitate seamless import/export of files between MS SQL databases and data trading partners, with ongoing monitoring to ensure reliability and performance.
- Develop, monitor and audit automated processes to exchange data with our trading partners – HMOs, health centers, clearing houses and providers.
- Develop and monitor a reporting mechanism to reconcile data exchanges.
This position is fully remote from anywhere in the state of California.
Education and Experience Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 6 months of experience in an information technology role.
Experience with the following is also required:
- T-SQL programming on Microsoft SQL Server.
- Web application development using VB.NET, C#, JavaScript, NodeJS, TypeScript, and Python.
- Design, development, and troubleshooting of ETL transactions.
Salary:
$124,488 to $140,795 per year.
