- Manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics industry experience is highly preferred.
Position Overview
Daimler Truck North America is seeking an EDI & Supplier Enablement Coordinator to support and enhance its enterprise supplier integration network. As part of the Systems Digitalization Team, this role will be responsible for maintaining EDI/API integrations, onboarding suppliers, troubleshooting transaction issues, and collaborating with internal IT teams, external vendors, and more than 3,000 suppliers to ensure reliable electronic data exchange across critical supply chain operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience supporting EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) environments and B2B integrations.
- Hands-on experience with standard EDI transactions, including:
- 830 Planning Schedule
- 850 Purchase Order
- 855 Purchase Order Acknowledgment
- 856 Advance Ship Notice (ASN)
- 862 Shipping Schedule
- 997 Functional Acknowledgment
- Strong knowledge of EDI VANs (Value Added Networks) and B2B integration models.
- Experience working with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting supplier onboarding, EDI implementation, and external system integrations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across SAP, supplier systems, middleware, VAN providers, and enterprise integrations.
- Experience supporting REST APIs, API integrations, and certificate management.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and coordinate issue resolution across multiple teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with suppliers, business users, vendors, and technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
Other Skills
- Experience with enterprise problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC, Lean, or Six Sigma.
- Experience in Manufacturing, Automotive, Logistics, or Supply Chain environments.
- Knowledge of middleware platforms and enterprise integration technologies.
- Understanding of API security, authentication, and certificate management.
- Experience supporting digital transformation or supplier enablement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily EDI and API operations supporting the enterprise supplier network.
- Monitor and troubleshoot end-to-end B2B integrations across SAP, VAN providers, middleware, and supplier systems.
- Lead supplier onboarding for EDI and API integrations, including data collection, validation, and coordination.
- Perform root cause analysis to resolve integration and transaction issues.
- Partner with IT teams and third-party vendors to configure systems, implement enhancements, and resolve production issues.
- Support API certificate management and external partner access.
- Serve as the technical SME during supplier meetings and integration discussions.
- Ensure reliable electronic transaction processing across a network of 3,000+ suppliers.
- Support strategic digital transformation initiatives and continuous process improvements.
