Education & Outreach Mgr Requisition ID req30663 Working Title Education & Outreach Mgr Position Grade 14 Position Summary The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The CDD Early Childhood Network (ECN) is looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills to fill the role of Education and Outreach Manager for the ECN Training Program. This program supports transdisciplinary professionals statewide who work in the NM Early Intervention Family Infant Toddler (FIT) system, providing early intervention services for families and their children from birth to age three who have or are at risk of developmental delay. The Education and Outreach Manager will collaborate with funding agency leadership and related partners to coordinate efforts in supporting early intervention providers. They will be responsible for developing and managing the ECN contract, providing leadership, maintaining oversight of scope of work activities, monitoring expenditures, and creating comprehensive reports for funders. Additionally, they will work with state leaders to develop a strategic plan for the implementation of an evidence-based professional development framework. The individual will also supervise, train, monitor, and evaluate the performance of Education Consultants, providing mentoring and coaching in organization, prioritization, and scheduling of work assignments to achieve maximum productivity. They will support consultants in strategic planning, continuous quality improvement, and the use of adult learning principles, evidence-based practices, and state and federal requirements as a guide for product development, training, and technical assistance. Furthermore, the individual will oversee the development and production of responsive training, education content, written material, resources, and products for distribution. They should have a strong foundation in adult learning principles, training methods, techniques, and formats, as well as knowledge of relationship-based work, reflective practice, strategic planning, and continuous quality improvement. This individual will work closely with the ECN administrative team, providing fiscal oversight and direction on all event logistics, including statewide and regional events, meetings, and conferences. They will serve as a liaison representing ECN, and work in collaboration with national and state-level partners, committees, and work groups. The ideal candidate should have a background and experience in early intervention, as well as knowledge of IDEA Part C, IDEA Part B, NM Administrative Code, and FIT Standards related to FIT Early Intervention services. They should also be knowledgeable about evidence-based early intervention practices, Family Guided Routines Based Intervention, family-centered practices, community supports, transdisciplinary teamwork, evaluation, assessment, individualized planning, early childhood outcomes, transition, and other critical aspects of early intervention service delivery. It is essential for the individual to haveexcellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to workcredibly and effectively with state department leadership and a wide range ofconstituencies from diverse communities throughout New Mexico, participate in reflective practice study, and comfortable with ambiguity and have the ability to pivot when priorities shift. This position is based in the Albuquerque CDD Office and requires occasional statewide travel, NM driver's license, and ability to obtain certification to operate a university vehicle.
