The Position
Education Programs Directors, Supervisors, and Professionals assist and foster the growth of early childhood, pre-K, K-12, postsecondary, adult, and related education programs throughout Nevada by providing technical assistance, training, and oversight.
This recruitment is for an Education Programs Professional position serving under the general direction of the Director of School Support within the Nevada State Public Charter School Authority. This position may be located in either Carson City or Las Vegas, depending on the location of the selected candidate. This position is responsible for the oversight and monitoring of federal programs, including but not limited to: Title I, Title II, Title III, Title IV, and state programs in alignment with applicable statutes and regulations. Duties include, but are not limited to, developing and maintaining policies and procedures for federal and state programs; providing technical assistance in the areas of federal and state programs; receiving, reviewing and, where appropriate, facilitating resolutions to constituent concerns and complaints; serving as a liaison to the Nevada Department of Education regarding federal and state programs; reviewing school level reports pertaining to federal and state programs; compiling agency level reports for submission to the Nevada Department of Education; and based on monitoring and oversight activities, identifying needs and providing relevant training in the areas of federal and state programs. The ideal candidate will have detailed knowledge of current issues and best practices in education programs; have general knowledge of annual subrecipient risk-based programmatic grant monitoring for state and federal grants; is highly motivated; and demonstrates professional, effective written and verbal communication skills.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

Doctorate degree from an accredited university in business, economics, education, English, math, psychology, science, sociology, or related field and one year of professional experience in an educational program area, which included experience in at least one of the following areas related to the current vacancy: leading and managing a team that supports organizational goals; evaluating a program and/or program participants for compliance purposes or outcomes; developing and implementing a vision for desired outcomes; and/or communicating with diverse stakeholders across various platforms; OR Master's degree from an accredited university in business, economics, education, English, math, psychology, science, sociology, or related field and two years of professional experience as described above.

Special Requirements

This position requires a pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting.

This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
