JOB DESCRIPTION:

Creswell School District is seeking highly skilled candidates for a Educational Assistant position (7.25 hours per day) to join the outstanding staff at Creswell Middle School.


This position is open until filled. Applicant screening begins 3/08/24.


POSITION DESCRIPTION


Responsibilities include:

  • Assist teachers in meeting the needs of students in a one-on-one or small group environments

Duties may include:

  • Providing instructional assistance to students, with a wide range of ability levels, under the direction of licensed teachers,
  • Completing clerical tasks including but not limited to word processing, filing, copying, and accurate record keeping,
  • Correcting papers and scoring tests,
  • Supervising students and assisting with classroom management,
  • Initiating and completing highly technical duties specific to the current assignment,
  • Attending staff meetings as required, and
  • Other appropriate duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree or High School diploma and ability to pass WorkKeys proficiency tests
  • Proficiency with Literacy and Numeracy skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with others
  • Experience working with students
  • Ability to work collegially with groups of other employees and support team decisions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Successful completion of fingerprint screening
