We are working with a well-established heavy industrial manufacturer located in Dorchester County (just outside of Summerville, SC) seeking an HSSE Manager. This role will oversee a team that ensures compliance to company policies in order to maintain the health and safety of its employees and adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. The HSSE Manager will work as part of the site leadership team and play an integral part day-to-day operations. We are seeking an individual with proven experience as a leader in promoting safety awareness in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce HSE policies and ensure legal compliance
• Promote safety culture through training, coaching, and awareness initiatives
• Identify risks and lead continuous improvement efforts
• Conduct inspections, audits, and incident investigations
• Develop and execute site-specific HSE plans with leadership
• Monitor and report HSE performance, issues, and statistics
• Oversee documentation, certifications, and compliance requirements
• Serve as the main HSE liaison with authorities and internal stakeholders

Preferred Experience & Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Occupations, Health & Safety (required)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of ISO 14001
• Strong leadership skills in order to influence team members to adhere to HSSE policies
