This role builds on the foundational responsibilities of the EHS Specialist I, with increased autonomy, technical depth, and leadership in field operations.The ideal candidate brings strong EHS experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage projects independently while upholding Reliance Safety Consultants’ core values: Reliability, Integrity, Expertise, Collaboration, People‑First, and Compliance Excellence.Key Responsibilities1. Training & Education DeliveryDevelop and deliver engaging, accurate, and compliant EHS training programs.Lead training sessions on advanced topics, including regulatory requirements, hazard‑specific programs, and client‑specific needs.Update and refine training materials to reflect current regulations and industry best practices.Attend weekly mandatory and Reliance training meetings.2. Compliance & Regulatory AssessmentsLead compliance evaluations, regulatory audits, and gap assessments for OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other governing bodies.Develop corrective action plans, compliance strategies, and long‑term risk‑reduction recommendations.Provide expert guidance to clients on regulatory interpretations and compliance pathways.3. Safety Program Development and ImplementationDevelop, update, and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures tailored to client operations.Support clients in building sustainable safety management systems.Ensure programs align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.4. Field Operations & Client SupportProvide onsite safety support, including hazard identification, monitoring, and coaching.Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action development.Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, maintaining strong relationships and delivering reliable, people‑first service.5. Project Safety Management AssistanceParticipate in project‑based safety engagements, including pre‑task planning, job hazard analyses, and safety by design activities.Support senior staff on high‑hazard or complex projects as needed.Contribute to risk assessments and project documentation.6. Safety Field SupportProvide onsite support to clients, including monitoring, hazard identification, and safety coaching.Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action documentation.Uphold Reliance’s values by delivering reliable, people‑first, integrity‑driven service.7. Contractor Safety SupportAssist with contractor onboarding, safety documentation review, and compliance verification.Support contractor monitoring activities and performance evaluations.Maintain internal tracking systems for contractor safety documentation.8.
