Tekberry is looking for a highly skilled Electrical Assembler Technician to join our client, a leading global provider of precision control components and systems serving the aerospace and defense industries. This role supports the Space and Defense Group in Gilbert, AZ, with a full-time, onsite schedule. As a Tekberry W2 employee, you will have access to health benefits.
Responsibilities-
Perform soldering on printed circuit boards (PCBAs), printed wire boards, and circuit card assemblies in accordance with IPC-J-STD standards.

Assemble chassis, wiring harnesses, and final units using crimping tools, torque drivers, and precision instruments.

Execute high-reliability soldering and crimping on complex subassemblies, including board-level repairs and jumper wire installations.

Work with multi-pin connectors and harness assemblies meeting stringent government and customer specifications.

Interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, schematics, and electronic work instructions accurately.

Follow ESD and cleanroom protocols while maintaining documentation and traceability per controlled program requirements.

Collaborate with engineering and test personnel to troubleshoot, rework, and improve assembly and testing procedures.

Support quality inspections, calibration checks, and continuous process improvements.

High school diploma or equivalent.

5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical or electronic assembly and soldering.

Proven expertise in soldering, crimping, and board-level assembly (through-hole and surface mount).

Working knowledge of IPC-J-STD, IPC-610/620 standards, torque/crimping tools, and precision measuring instruments.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and follow detailed work instructions.

NASA-8739 certification or equivalent high-reliability soldering credential.

Experience with avionics or spaceflight assemblies, including circuit card rework, coating, and integration.

Familiarity with electromechanical systems and subassembly integration.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate across production and engineering teams.
