Position Summary

The primary duties of this position will be electrical assembly and testing of magnet system controllers, DC rectifiers, battery back-ups, and other electrical accessories. The qualified individual should be capable of following schedules, communicating issues that arise and working in a time sensitive fashion in a highly changing product mix.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Work from blueprints and schematics to perform wiring functions
\n
• Assemble controller and rectifier panels from drawings using hand tools and/or electric pneumatic tools.
\n
• Operate test equipment comparing unit performance to design specifications.
\n

Experience and Education Required

\n
• High school education or equivalent.
\n
• Electrical assembly experience required.
\n
• Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics and engineering specifications.
\n
• Ability to read various measuring equipment including meters, scales and other electrical assembly tools.
\n
• Ability to use various hand tools, hydraulic presses, air wrenches, electric motors, air gauges, painting equipment, parts washer, cranes.
\n
• Required to operate a forklift and overhead cranes.
\n
• Basic computer skills in MS Excel, MS word and email required.
\n

Physical Requirements
• Able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 50 lbs continuously and 100 lbs occasionally • Requires standing continuously and walking occasionally throughout the day up to ten hours
