Job Type: Temporary Assignment
Work Type: Onsite
Shift/Hours: 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m
Job Description:
  • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Cable Associate to join our team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for spooling, evaluating, repairing, testing, and maintaining electrical cables to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, adaptability to operational changes and delivery targets, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Cable Counting: Accurately count and document cable lengths while spooling
  • Inspection and Testing: Perform routine inspections and testing of cables to identify faults, damage, or wear using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Cable Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair damaged or faulty cables, connectors to restore functionality.
  • Splicing and Termination: Conduct cable splicing and termination following proper procedures and ensuring secure and reliable connections.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, cable layouts, and testing results.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve electrical cable issues using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Qualifications and Skills:

Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required;
Experience:
  • Proven experience as an electrical cable technician or similar role.
  • Knowledge of low-voltage, high-voltage is a plus.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in cable spooling, counting, evaluation, splicing, and termination techniques.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools, such as multimeters, cable testers, Hi-Pot.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in electrical work.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and cables.
  • Comfortable working on feet for long hours conditions.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
