Job Description:
- We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Cable Associate to join our team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for spooling, evaluating, repairing, testing, and maintaining electrical cables to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, adaptability to operational changes and delivery targets, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cable Counting: Accurately count and document cable lengths while spooling
- Inspection and Testing: Perform routine inspections and testing of cables to identify faults, damage, or wear using specialized tools and equipment.
- Cable Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair damaged or faulty cables, connectors to restore functionality.
- Splicing and Termination: Conduct cable splicing and termination following proper procedures and ensuring secure and reliable connections.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, cable layouts, and testing results.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve electrical cable issues using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required;
Experience:
- Proven experience as an electrical cable technician or similar role.
- Knowledge of low-voltage, high-voltage is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in cable spooling, counting, evaluation, splicing, and termination techniques.
- Experience using diagnostic tools, such as multimeters, cable testers, Hi-Pot.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in electrical work.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and cables.
- Comfortable working on feet for long hours conditions.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
