Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services (Revit / AutoCAD / Dialux) Location: Netherlands (On-site) Employment Type: Full-time️ Contract Type: Long-term (1-2-year contract with intention to become permanent)About the Role:Are you an Electrical Design Engineer with solid experience in building installations and a strong interest in design, calculations, and BIM-based projects?A well-established Dutch engineering consultancy is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services) to join its team in the Netherlands. You will work on high-quality building projects such as residential buildings, offices, hospitals, shopping malls, museums, and other commercial buildings.This role is heavily focused on buildings.Profiles mainly focused on industry, power plants, infrastructure, bridges, or process engineering are not suitable.Your Responsibilities:In this role, you will be responsible for the technical design and detailed engineering of electrical installations within building projects.Key tasks include:Designing electrical installations for residential and commercial buildingsPerforming cable calculations, lighting calculations, and power calculationsProducing 2D and 3D drawings (floor plans, schematics, technical details)Working daily with BIM and electrical design softwarePreparing technical documentation and cost-related calculationsSupporting site measurements and technical coordination (with guidance)Contributing to smooth project delivery and aftercareStrong hands-on experience is essential:AutoCAD (mandatory)Revit / Revit MEP (mandatory)Dialux (mandatory – lighting calculations)StabiCad (strong advantage – training possible)Intelec or similar calculation software (advantage)MS Office (Excel / Word)Requirements:Degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor or equivalent)Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer for buildingsProven experience in residential and/or commercial building projectsStrong understanding of electrical calculations and building systemsProfessional working proficiency in English (mandatory)Motivation to learn Dutch standards and regulations (NEN, ISSO, BBL)Valid EU work authorisation (visa support possible for non-EU candidates).We Offer:1-2 year contract (40 hours/week) with the possibility of permanent employment.Monthly gross salary: 4.000,00 - 5.000,00 (based on experience and education).25 paid vacation days + paid public holidays.Holiday allowance of 8.33%, paid annually in May.Travel reimbursement: €0.23/km.Relocation support:First housing arranged and upfront payment of rent/deposit if needed€1,500 - €3,000 net relocation bonusPick-up on arrival and onboarding support (bank, BSN, insurance, etc.)Team onboarding events and community support.Work CultureYou will join a consultancy known for:A personal approach toward clients and colleaguesClear and structured project processesFlexibility and opennessA strong focus on quality, collaboration, and long-term growthEach project starts with understanding the client’s needs first, followed by the technical solution, not the other way around.Who is Xelvin?Xelvin is a Dutch consultancy company specializing in Engineering.
