RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs routine and complex assignments involving planning and conducting design and layout of non-complex projects or portion of a complex project. Performs field measurements independently. Selects and implements designs, techniques, layouts and plans. Reviews and analyzes designs to determine layout requirements. May assist lead engineer in calculating design data. Edits technical specification sections. Learns and applies techniques for documenting project scope. Assists in preparing cost estimates and reports. Researches routine code issues. Promotes use of and participates in development of company design and production standards. Reviews drawings and documents to ensure compliance with the company’s design and production standards. Assists in the education and development of design staff and acts as a resource for design questions. QUALIFICATIONS:Technical or Associates Degree in applicable design disciplines from an accredited technical institution or college. Proficient in the use of computer for design and understand CAD operations.8+ years of related drafting and/or design experience.
