As a key member of EMPACT'S Engineering Team, you are instrumental in designing, configuring, and finalizing engineering solutions and deliverables for overhead and underground electric distribution facilities and joint use make-ready engineering communication projects for various clients.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Use 3D modeling software to generate electric distribution deliverables for projects that include, but are not limited to construction drawings, staking sheets, permits, concrete pole drilling guides, and other specifications.
  • Help ensure that designed electrical facilities meet client, state, and federal standards and regulations.
  • Develop an understanding of the client's key people, and processes.
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure that projects are following specified internal engineering processes.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects while maintaining work product quality, accuracy, reliability, accountability and deadlines.
  • Apply analysis to identify the best solution to a design problem and effectively communicate a course of action with the project team.
What you will bring
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience with electrical distribution design or electric utility experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver's license.
  • Excellent attention to detail with sound problem-solving skills and desire for continuous improvement.
  • Agile interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management while maintaining a harmonious working relationship with all clients and Team members.
