Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Burlington, MA - 100% Onsite
Duration: 05 Months (Ends 03/31/2025, with possibility to extend or convert)
The Senior Electrical Engineer will assist in the electronic and electro-mechanical design of equipment, particularly a user interface controller for an implanted heart pump system, supporting patients with heart failure (HF). This role requires significant experience in electrical design, product testing, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Prototype Development: Lay out and construct prototype tools and fixtures for product development, focusing on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and tools.
- Testing & Evaluation: Conduct feasibility tests, measurements, and analysis to verify functionality. Troubleshoot and isolate faults on breadboards and hybrids.
- Design Reviews: Perform electrical design reviews, identifying tolerance and design issues, and propose solutions. Run schematics to detect gaps or unresolved issues.
- Documentation: Document custom tools with detailed specifications, schematics, and mechanical layouts. Compile engineering test reports and maintain design verification records.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to FDA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Collaboration: Maintain cooperative communication across diverse teams, including those located in California, as well as external partners, contractors, and vendors.

- Travel: Up to 10%, including international travel.
- Project Scope: Ad-hoc implanted heart pump system for heart failure patients, with a focus on the power supply unit managed by patients.
