This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment and is passionate about quality, reliability, and long-term support of mission-critical systems.Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering support focused on passive components across a wide range of technologies and systemsWrite and review technical reports, documentation, and engineering assessmentsOffer guidance on component selection for complex military and aerospace programsTroubleshoot passive component issues and recommend effective solutionsApply knowledge of electrical testing techniques, radiation effects, failure analysis, and material scienceCollaborate with external stakeholders including contractors, designers, part manufacturers, test laboratories, and government agenciesDevelop and assess test plans and engineering standardsSupport full lifecycle engineering of strategic systemsRepresent the organization in technical forums including DLA audits, JEDEC meetings, and reviews of military specifications and test methodologiesTravel up to 25–50% may be requiredMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field (or equivalent experience)Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in component or systems engineeringFamiliarity with quality and reliability standards for IEEE componentsBasic understanding of military standards (MIL-STD) and how they apply to electrical componentsAbility to compare and analyze different component standardsStrong technical communication skills, both verbal and writtenProficiency with Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn advanced functionsCapable of preparing detailed technical documentation and analysisUnderstanding of basic electrical testing procedures for IEEE componentsMust be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security ClearancePreferred QualificationsSpecialized experience with integrated circuits (ICs) and IEEE quality/reliability standardsDeep understanding of manufacturing processes for IEEE partsFamiliarity with commercial, automotive, military, and industry component standardsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formula development and macrosHands-on experience with benchtop electrical testing of componentsActive Secret Clearance is a strong plus
