We are currently recruiting for several Electrical Engineering roles based in Davenport, Iowa; Lancaster, Pennsylvania; Alcoa, Tennessee; and LaFayette, Indiana. Our Electrical Engineering roles are within multiple departments including Hot Rolling, Sheet Finishing, and Maintenance. Relocation assistance is provided! As an Electrical Engineer (across all levels of experience) you are not only a problem solver , you are a key contributor to the stability and future-readiness of our facility. We are looking for entry level talent to experienced electrical engineers who will drive meaningful operational improvements, from troubleshooting complex equipment issues to delivering innovative control solutions and modernizing legacy systems. Ensuring our equipment and processes run safely, efficiently, and at peak performance is a primary objective. Your impact will be both immediate and lasting. Whether leading capital projects from concept through commissioning, elevating automation and smartmanufacturing capabilities, or providing essential support that minimizes downtime and maintains product quality, these positions are ideal for electrical engineers who thrive in fastpaced industrial environments and want to directly influence production outcomes, process reliability, and continuous improvement across the plant. Additional Responsibilities Coordinate all phases of assigned area electrical engineering projects from concept, scope development, written specifications, bid solicitations, design, manufacturing, equipment commissioning, and project closure. Lead and participate in problem solving efforts with multi-discipline technical staff, maintenance and production. Use PI Vision and Data Link to analyze process issues and provide input to solve process problems. Create and develop electrical control solutions that will support process improvements and improve equipment reliability. Assist production and maintenance with equipment and process issues. PLC/HMI and controls redesign and upgrades of existing processes. Install and troubleshoot camera systems on industrial equipment. Incorporate SMART Manufacturing principles and tools into automated inspection systems to improve processes, data collection/analysis, and drive quick results in recovery improvements. May mentor employees to increase their knowledge of equipment and process, when needed. For roles that are focused on maintenance and reliability, responsibilities include Provide engineering support to maintenance and operations across the department including restoring flow during breakdowns and developing preventative maintenance systems (including during the off shift). Troubleshoot equipment and process problems to root cause, providing engineered solutions to these problems. Manage large equipment rebuilds – development, justification, management and implementation of these projects. Develop into the technical equipment expertise for the department and provide technical leadership. Support the department’s Quality, Safety, and Environmental goals. Provide after-hours support (this can include nights, weekends, and holidays, if the need arises). Entry Level Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution At least one (1) year of electrical engineering experience (can include internships) within manufacturing/industrial environments and focused on any of the following electrical skills: PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC drives & motors, installation and maintenance of electromechanical systems, power distribution, or other electrical focused areas. Senior and Staff Level Qualifications At least three (3) years of electrical engineering experience manufacturing/industrial environments and focused on any of the following electrical skills: PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC drives & motors, installation and maintenance of electromechanical systems, power distribution, or other electrical focused areas. Not required, but preferred, is experience within metals manufacturing. *Salary ranges are determined by a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, specific skills, educational background, and overall qualifications.
