Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of assigned electrical engineering projects, from concept to completion, including scope development, specification writing, bid solicitation, design, manufacturing, equipment commissioning, and project closure.
  • Lead and participate in problem-solving efforts with multidisciplinary teams, including technical staff, maintenance, and production.
  • Utilize PI Vision and Data Link to analyze process issues and contribute to solving process problems.
  • Develop and implement electrical control solutions to support process improvements and enhance equipment reliability.
  • Assist production and maintenance teams with equipment and process issues.
  • Redesign and upgrade PLC/HMI controls and existing processes.
  • Install and troubleshoot camera systems on industrial equipment.
  • Mentor employees to enhance their knowledge of equipment and processes as needed.
  • Provide off-hours support as required.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (must be completed at the time of employment).
  • At least 1 internship, co-op, or relevant work experience in electrical engineering.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
  • This position requires U.S. person status as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC drives and motors, measuring devices, and Ethernet cameras.
  • Proficiency with Rockwell programming software (e.g., RSLogix, Factory View).
  • 3+ years of experience leading electrical projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Project programs.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 1+ year of experience in aluminum rolling/casting outside of internship/co-op roles.
