Description:

RMF Engineering, Inc is currently seeking a Construction Contract Administrator in our South Carolina office. The Construction Contract Administrator’s (CA) primary role is to provide competent engineering representation to multiple OAC teams on commercial construction projects. 

Responsibilities:

·       Provide technical quality assurance reviews of Contract Documents

·       Perform submittal reviews and respond to RFIs

·       Perform reviews of contractor cost proposals.

·       Represent the firm at construction meetings

·       Should have a complete understanding of mechanical, electrical & plumbing system fundamentals, coordination between engineering disciplines and architecture, engineering calculations, equipment selection and scheduling, specifications, cost estimating, and contract documents

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • BS Mechanical Engineering Degree from accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical buildings design (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection)
  • Familiar with commercial construction contracts (AIA, EJCDC)
  • Strong technical design and engineering ability
  • Strong work ethic and solid organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

·       CDT or CCCA certification

·       Mechanical design or project management experience

·       Cost estimating experience
