CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Qualifications:Seeking a Electrical Engineer with 2-10+ years of technical experience to become an integral member of the engineering team dedicated to the development of military-grade electronics the Common Weapon Launcher (CWL) system. Duties and Responsibilities Develop new and modify existing electronics in the form of PCB designsAnalyze and design analog and digital electronic circuits including analog signal conditioning and communication interfacesIntegrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardwareDevelop test criteria and assist in the design of test systemsPerform component and architecture trade studies to determine optimal system solutions to design hardware and electronics based on commercial and industry components and technologiesGenerate design and interface documentationDesign cable assembliesDevelop technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customerKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExperience with the engineering development life cycle, including concept, requirements, design, implementation, and test phasesWorking knowledge of common communication interfaces such as RS-422, RS-485, and LVDSExperience in analog and digital circuit designExperience with lab equipment including signal generators, high speed oscilloscopes, and digital logic analyzersProficiency in all phases of PCB design, including creation of high-level functional and architectural diagrams, SPICE analysis, power analysis, component selection, schematic entry (OrCAD Capture experience a plus), and working with the PCB layout team to optimize placement, signal integrity, fitment, etc. Strong documentation and communication skillsExperience with firmware or microcontrollers a plusExperience with VHDL/Verilog a plus
