Electrical Engineer Apply
Position Description The Electrical Engineer will become part of our growing engineering team and will work on an array of interesting and diverse projects. A blend of theoretical and hands‑on skills together with adaptability is required as we often engineer a solution and then build concept demonstrators of what we have engineered. Activities may include supporting in new project discovery, input to cost estimating, product development, technical build support, testing planning, and quality assurance activities all to support an overall successful program. The position can be hybrid, when possible, but presence will be required as needed during concept builds in our Product Development Center in Romulus, MI or within our client’s sites. We are looking for candidates with a “can do” attitude who are interested to be part of our expanding positive work environment. Responsibilities Electrical-related content on projects Electric development and release activities within a larger RLE team network Participate and represent RLE in customer technical meetings Maintain strong working relationships within RLE and our customers Support validation builds, prototype testing, and production readiness activities Support vehicle integration activities and validation testing Assist with product troubleshooting and root cause analysis Track technical issues and support resolution with global engineering teams Prepare and provide technical reports and documentation as needed Perform basic electrical diagnostics using tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes Support CAN and LIN communication testing and analysis using tools such as CANoe / CAN analyzers Collect and analyze test data from vehicles or test benches Quality Support Support investigation and resolution of internal or customer quality issues Participate in root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, 5Why, and Fishbone Follow up on customer claims and ensure proper closure of issues Monitor field performance and report product quality status Launch & Production Support Assist with PPAP preparation and launch support Support validation builds, prototype testing, and production readiness activities Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field 2+ years of experience in automotive product development, validation, or quality engineering Ability to create and read wiring diagrams Strong problem-solving and communication skills Hands‑on experience with automotive electronics testing or diagnostics Familiarity with automotive quality tools and processes such as PPAP, APQP, and FMEA Demonstration of strong analytical and creative skills to solve complex problems and improve designs #J-18808-Ljbffr
